The View From My Spaceship – 2015 International Student Art Contest

Svake godine, The Space Foundation poziva decu širom sveta, starosti od 3-18 godina, da učestvuju na Međunarodnom likovnom takmičenju za decu, tako što će da pošalju svoje radove koji su orijentisani na temu – svemir. Tema ovogodišnjeg takmičenja „Pogled iz mog svemirskog broda“, izaziva decu da izraze svoje ideje pogleda na svemir iz svemirskog broda i da prikažu te ideje kroz originalne radove (sve tehnike dozvoljene). Jedan rad po detetu. Krajnji rok je 14. novembar 2014. godine.

Each year, the Space Foundation invites students, ages 3-18 from around the world, to enter our International Student Art Contest by submitting artwork based on a space-oriented theme.

The 2015 contest theme, „The View From My Spaceship…,“ challenges students to design their own concept of a view looking into space from a spaceship  – and then interpret that idea into an original work of visual art (drawing, painting, mixed media or digital). The contest is open to students aroud the world in eight age categories. Limit of one (1) entry per student. Each student may submit one original artwork in any of the following acceptable media/formats: Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media or Digital Art.

Eight Age Categories:

  • 3-4 years
  • 5-6 years
  • 7-8 years
  • 9-10 years
  • 11-12 years
  • 13-14 years
  • 15-16 years
  • 17-18 years

Awards

The Space Foundation will present 25 awards to 24 winners: 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd- Place for each of eight age categories. In addition, a Space Foundation Achievement Award will be given, which is selected by the Space Foundation graphic arts team.

How to Enter

The Space Foundation partners with artsonia.com to receive all artwork entries. Free for kids, parents and teachers to use, Artsonia is an online art museum featuring student original artwork. It is the largest online art museum of its kind in the world and is a free, educational program for schools, teachers and parents.

Deadline: Entries are due by Noon Universal Time (12:00 UTC) on November 14, 2014.

The contest is free to enter. Public, private and homeschool students are eligible from all nations. A teacher/instructor/homeschool teacher must submit artwork on behalf of their student. Please note: Due to the high number of entries, we request that teachers submit their top three artworks from any one age group only. 

The Space Foundation maintains ownership of the digital artwork and the right to use the digital images of the artwork for display and promotion.

Winners will be notified by email no later than January 16, 2015.
